To take off the airbag you need a tamper-proof Torx bit, size T50H. These have a hole in the middle of the bit that matches a post in the bolt's head. A regular Torx bit WILL NOT work. To get the tamper-proof bit you either have to get one from Snap-on (expensive - $20 for just the one bit) or get a whole set off ebay; that's where I got mine, $20 for a set of like 15, impact rated no less :D Anyway, after you pull the airbag you undo the big nut that holds the steering wheel to the column and yank it off; you might need a steering wheel puller for this ($8 or so at AutoZone). Take off the spiral cable and you can put on whatever wheel you want, BUT, be aware that if you have an airbag then the horn wiring is run through the spiral cable with the airbag wiring and you won't have a horn unless you do some fancy wiring. I can help you if you want, just send me a PM.
Get yourself a Haines manual, it details pretty well what you need to do for just the steering wheel removal, and it's a valuable resource to have for your car anyway.
Hope this helps.

you probally wont need a puller just twist it and jiggle up and down.... at first the bitch wont budge......but keep working at it and surpriseing it comes off like butter with a jiggle..... its really weird....extremely hard one sec...then extremely easy
i have only done this once to deekynx's car so i am not sure if it is like that for all of them.....good luck

If you are taking off an airbag wheel and putting on a non-airbag wheel, you WILL have to take off the spiral cable. It's part of the airbag system, it fits into a recess in the back of the airbag-equipped steering wheel, and any non-airbag wheel will not have the recess.
You should be able to get a Haynes manual at Autozone or PepBoys for around $15 - there isn't one specifically for the NX, it's the same one as for the Sentra.

Be sure and have your BATTERY DISCONNECTED! You dont want that air bag going off in your face! You may want to dissconnect it overnight! You can use a steering wheel puler, or a pully puller, thye are very similar "crows feet" design. If you're taking off the air bag, you may also want to consider taking off all the air-bag crap, AKA air-bag computer that is under the center console. Also there is an air-bag sensor up front on the radiator support. Later!

Disconnect the battery like he said..but the capacitors that hold the charge are only good for about 10 minutes or so. So, wait at least 10 minutes before going to work on the airbag.
