My boy with a det, fmi, and t3/t4 turbo told me that most people that
have a loud bov sound got two bov's one to recirculate and one that vents,Is this true he has gone against alot of info I got from *** Forum and I don't beleive him on that.

so not true man, some have adapters so you can recirculate instead of vent out, but not two!!

So what do I do if I want a nice and loud sound but no stalling or other problems.

Buy a map sensor. Oh yeah, and standalone to go with it:D

Anopther inexpensive option, would be to purchase a hybir bov. One that allows you to recirculate some of the air back into the intake, and vent some of it to the atmosphere.

I don't know how well these work on our cars. I haven't heard of anyone using one of these.

I think the emanage might allow you to not recurculate.

Releasing any metered air to atmosphere is going to cause problems IIRC.

You could always do a 1rst Gen Eclipse BOV. Crush the top till there is no air leaking at idle. This is orginally how I ran my BOV. I ran the car like this for several months with no stalling issues. Driveability was normal. ( No dive bomb idle ) BOV was pretty loud and scared off many a ricer:D The only complaint I had was that inbetween shifts the car would run a little rich and backfire. Im currently recircing the same BOV. The only reason I decided to do this is because I have a white car with custom paint and because of the richness between shifts the back of my car would get coverd in black soot after driving around.

The WRX people are having the same issues. From the factory, it's setup to recirculate (we have mafs), but people want the pshhh sound. One solution that works is using a Go Fast Bits 50/50 bov. It recirculates some, and vents the rest. Also, Forge Motorsports makes an awesome bov. It's a dual spring unit. I'm not exactly sure on how it works, but It doesn't vent hardly at all unless you're making good boost. It has the meanest sound, too. Both of these keep it from going so rich that you backfire.

As for dual bov's, plenty of cars have 2. You mostly see it in cars making big power. One that comes to mind is a heavily modded 300ZXTT. I haven't seen one that has a recirc and an atompheric one though.
