I have a 91 NX, I notice my fuel gauge is off by about 3 to 4 gallons maybe more. Its not a big problem but it gets on my nerves sometimes. Anybody experience anything like this maybe you found a solution or do I have to live with it.

I believe there is a writeup on SER.NET about that.

Anyone know the best way to clean out a gas tank... I have an nx1600 thats been sitting for god knows how long, and I'm sure whatevers in the gas tank won't be good news for the engine I plan on swapping in. Anyone know the best way to clean out the tank?

First thing to do when a car has been sitting like that for a long time is put water remover in the tank...that should help out a lot.

Our tanks have always been off, I've owned 3 B13's and when the fuel light comes on we have 3 gallons or so left.

^The fuel light has always been optimistic. It lets you know you're running low on gas even though you actually have 2-4 gallons left.

What I didn't like about my NX--and I do think it suffers from the inaccurate fuel gauge problem in that link--is that after only 20-30 miles of driving after a full fill-up, the gauge shows I lost more than one quarter tank of gas.

Thats strange, my gauge is way off (shows to empty when the tank is half full), but my light is dead on. 25 miles after the light came on and the engine stopped. I managed to coast along the side of the freeway for 2 miles, up an off ramp, into a gas station and just within reach of a gas hose before it came to a stop!
