In just the last few days, the feel of the steering has changed. Before it seemed normal, telling me what's going on with the wheels. Now, there's a feeling of friction in the mechanism. The steering effort hasn't changed at all. However, there has been new drops of something oily on the garage floor.

Any ideas on what this might be?

How much PS fluid is in the reservoir?

If the fluid level in the tank doesn't peek above the filter "basket," pull it out and see what you've got.
