Anyone had issues with breaking clutch cables w/ ACT disc clutches? my clutch feel is great, i think. It does require much more pressure to engage/dissengage then my stock clutch did and does skweak alot but it works great, has smooth engagement and tons of holding power. It is a stage 1 disc and pp. Should it require much more pressure or not? Could something be causing these cables to wear out and break or could i have just had a worn out stock cable then a deffective new one?

I have had an extreme pp with modified disc for 4 months without an issue. are you sure you don't have it tightened up to much? there should be half to 1 inch of play before the clutch pedal starts to engage the clutch.

huh... I have an ACT; HD pressure plate, street disc. Absolutely no probs what so ever for almost two years now. Not too heavy, perfectly smooth, and it's holding 12psi no probs :) It is strange you guys are breaking clutch cables. The only thing I can think of is that you have it adjusted up too high so that the cable is under tension more.
