I have a horrible power steering leak on the right side.
Its geeting worse and worse every day. I went to the dealership the other day and they told me i have to replace the power steering pressure hose that goes to the rack ($162.50), and also the rack is cracked ($657.50). and the labor itself is also very expensive

Could i be able to find the same parts for a cheaper price???

i would like to get this fixed cause i have a puddle of steering fluid in my garage every morning, and i get tired of refilling it once a week.

I bought a rebuilt PS rack for about $200-300 with core exchange (memory fails me), and installed it myself. Not fun to replace, but it can be done.

I don't have any first hand experience with the PS high pressure hose, but I just plugged it into NAPAonline.com and it came up for $58. I'm sure auto parts stores everywhere could order it for about that much.

I've had two go bad. $160 sound about right. You could buy a Random Thoughts power steering eliminator, around $150. If your rack does need replaced, see if it's possible to have a power rack with a ratio closer than the 2.6:1, a 2:1 would be great. My $.02.
