I was curious if two cars had the same set-up (including ECU programs) but one had an upgraded MAF (ford, z32, maxima) and the other had a stock MAF......would the car with the upgraded MAF even run?? would it be rich? lean? I was guessing it would possibly be lean since more air would be flowing per voltage reading of the sensor (does it work that way?) Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. What do you all think?

Why do you want to know? If you had your ECU reprogramed for the upgraded MAF you would be fine, but you wouldnt need to do this unless you were going past about 260whp...

im in the same boat, i will be upgrading to a cobra maf, and jwt will be programming my ecu for 50lb and cobra maf. so if i still ran the 370 and stock ecu, would there be any rich problems, until i can save a little more to buy those parts? or should i just leave it parked?

a 550cc (50lb) injector will flow different than a 370cc injector Im guessing you would be lean...maybe if you had an adjustable regulator or something.....you could figure something out...but for what its worht you might as well just do it the right way a set of 50's is only like 250 shipped.....just a thought..
