I ran 17psi on my bone-stock ignition setup with no problems.

You shouldn't need anything till you get up in that 400 HP range. Then a blaster coil with that MSD 6A will do nicely.

You really dont need to upgrade the ignition system until about 385 - 400hp. I ran an 11.9 @ 119mph @ 22psi on the stock ignition. On the cars last drag race we upgraded to a 6A and Blaster Coil because it was having troubles at 19psi. That worked great and fixed the problems. JWT has the schematics to wire your MSD ignition into your car. Give them a call and they can hook you up.

Thanks for the imfo Ryan. I will wait to install it until i get the s4's and incon. 3Bip, why do you say s3's? JGY told me s4's would be much better.

S3's for turbo. The S4's have too much overlap. You can fix it with cam gears to a point, but I would stick with S3's.

Dude not for nothing butI have seen guys in my crew who have s4's and no kind of cam gears and run stock boost t-28 on stock motors. and run low 13's all day long at the track andis daily driven. So I'm confused, all this talk about over lap and no problems at all *** s4's. I think it really dosen't apply to us under 15 psi boostin freaks as long as we use c16 at the track.( see my question in the tech and turbo forum.)

You might not have a problem with S4's and small turbos like the T28, however its much different with a much larger T3/T04E turbo.

Actually, small turbos are more sensitive to overlap than big turbos. Backpressure = reversion with restrictive turbo.
