whats the best place to put jackstands?

I put mine where the front suspension A arms mount to the frame- there's a flat spot there that's ideal and the jackstands won't be in the way when you drain your oil.

I put the fronts right under the A arm joint.
YOur car will be sky high when you do this but its ok.

I always jack it up from that front crossmember that runs down the middle, haven't had any problems yet. :)

On a slightly different note, does anyone use jackstand adapters, those things that wrap around the sills on the sides, so the weight of the car is resting on the frame instead of the 1/2 or so sill?

Did you make them, and if so out of what? I have seen references to them in the FSM, but I don't think you can get them from the dealer.

Any ideas?
