I am installing 3 gauges now also. I am in Hampton. In a b14 it is a pain. I hear on a B13 it is easy (at least to mount the gauges, the rest is the same of course).

mounting isnt going to be much of a problem. ill just drill/cut out holes into the blank face plate where my stereo used to be. i got the autometer oil pressure (tap the block?), the water temp (where does that sensor go?), and voltmeter (wire splicing). but the thing is, i have never played with wires before, or gauges for that matter.
anybody messed with these before and can atleast give me an idea of what to do?

edit:mpg is back in northern va right now, but i might try parson

I don't know if you have thought this thru very far. I don't like your plan very much. This is what I am doing.
Oil Preasure. I bought the adapter from George to keep the oil idiot light and also have an easy place to mount the gauge.
Water Temp. Again I bought the adapter from George. It goes right in the coolant hose. These two items cost me about $100 after shiping but will make for a very clean install and I get to keep both the factor lights/gauges as kinda backup/idiot lights.

where do the adapters go? i didnt think anything passed the install, which should be easy enough. those were questions as in i need advice, not what i want to do. the voltmeter is seriously that easy. tap the ignition wire and ground it near the engine (or so it says) and thats it. the other are what i have no clue about. thanks for the info though.

edit: i see now, i see now. i think i will get these. thanks again.

He's about 5 hours away. Ill be back down there on the 6th. Are you going home to richmond anytime? Thats alot closer to most people. Parson is just down the street from me, so about 20-25 min from you.

Sure. You have to drill the block for the oil pressure adapter, right? The water temp shouldnt be to hard, but if we have to drill the block, we are gona need some real tools, which I dont have at school.

Why would you go the the trouble of drilling the block when you could just as easily get the nissport adapter. Also, Greg Perry had a writeup on how to do a install of a turbo that showed how he got an adapter for is oil line.
