i take my ride back to sears to get the alignment re done, 2500 ,ilse after it was done, and the guy is talking to me. he askes whats the prob. i tell him in order to go straight, you have to steer a 1/4 turn right, and if you steer straight, to go left, big left. he says it sounds like the rack is going bad. i am thinking whatever.

so i pick her up, and he says i have a bent tie rod, and askes me what i hit. my car has not been out in the snow, and i have not hit/ran over anything. heres the specs before/after i left.

left front -0.5 camber........right front -2.0 camber
..................1.3 caster............................1.6 caster
.................>.24 toe...............................>.1.09 toe

Left rear -1.3 camber..........right rear -1.1 camber
................>.14 toe.................................>.09 toe

again, i know i have not wreaked my car, and where he got a bent tie rod from is new news to me. here is what it looked like when i left

left front -0.5 camber.........right front -2.1 camber
....................1.3 caster...............................1.6 caster
..................>.30 toe....................................>.95 toe

left rear -1.3 camber................right rear -1.1 camber
.................>.12 toe.....................................>.14 toe.

did they even check my car? looks like they didnt touch it. can drag slicks bend a tie rod?

Looks like they only set the toe...hmm...how the hell did he set the toe on the rear ? I thought there was no toe adjustment on the 200sx...he didnt touch the camber either...how much did you pay for this Brian?

55, but with 6 month, 6K warrenty. i think they didnt feel like doing it. so they said a bent tie rod

front total toe was 1.32 before, and steer ahead was -.43
rear total toe was .23, thrust angle was .03 before the touch it

after they did it,

front total toe was 1.25, steer ahead was -.33
rear total toe was .25m, thrust angle was .-.01

no, they're not hard to adjust.
from the looks of it, the tech didn't know you had camber bolts. did you tell him?
if so, he didn't adjust them, thats for damn sure!

Its surprising that they would tell you that you have a bent rod and they didn't show you.

Ask for your money back and find an alignment shop that gives a d**n.

I told brian, that I had the same problem with the same Sears.

After I replaced my struts, about 1 day later the wheel went far left, I took it back and they had the car more than half the day and when they first looked at it the guy came out and said "Looks like someone replaced the struts and didn't have the car aligned" I then showed him my paperwork from yesterday :-( They fixed it but dang... I think they don't want to screw with it....

Down with sears!
