now that its really cold the pass. side rear caliper sticks when its parked for a while. Ive been leaving it in gear with the e-brake down so it doesnt do it.. what a beautful sound it makes when it breaks lose! but, is there any way i can spray the cable or something to keep it from sticking??

I'm guessing it's the actual piston sticking to the caliper wall when it's cold. That can happen with corrosion and what not. You can just pull the caliper off and clean it out and either rebuild it or use the stuff already on there, if it's still good, to put it back together.

Rebuilding the rear calipers is not easy, they have a spring in there the could pop out and is under pressure from what I understand. My advice, just dont use the E-brake in the winter, is it sticking even though you dont put the e-brake on?

It has nothing to do with the caliper piston. I think it is the e-brake cable. I have rebuilt calipers in the rear and they stick with the parking brake up when it is extremely cold.

I had the exact same problem with my NX in the middle of spring and even in the warm summer months... (mine sticks on the drivers side rear)

so is there a easy solution to it? spray the end of the cable with PB blaster maybe???

I'm guessing it has to do with the e-brake cable where it splits into two, its right before the gas tank area, This wouldnt be a problem if Nissan had used two cables rather than one...splitting off into two in the back..you'll have to drop the heatshiedls for the exhaust to work on the cable, or you can try spraying some down the cable from the inside, but isnt it one side thats sticking? If so, the cable that hooks to the e-brake isnt the problem, its ont of the two individiual cables it hooks to at the back.
