Anyone know how i could access these bulbs on my nx2k? I had to drive around in the dark tonight.

pop off the dash/gauge cluster, unhook the wiring plugs that go into the back of it, and there are several little plastic knobs on the back of the guages, twist them 1/4 turn and it should pull out along w/ a bulb.

But be careful when you take the dash out, the spedometer wire is a tuff one that you have to get before the dash will come out

It would be kinda cool if you replaced it with a red, white or blue LED wedge bulb. Then, you could share what you think of it ! I've been thinking that a strong blue tint like in some newer VWs might be nice.

yeah...replacing the stock bulbs w/ a nice blue lED would rock...
better than buying those ingiglo guages IMO....you get too much glare from them at nite...plus LED's would has a hella longer and wont fade....
Let us know how it goes if you decide to Carlos...i may do the same!

The dash lights came back on when i was in 4th gear at 7500rpm. Must have been a loose wire or something. The dealer wanted $9.95 each for the replacement bulbs & i could not find the correct led's in the local store.

has anybody actually done this yet? i ask because i was at a junkyard and ripped out the gauge console from a b13 sentra there, and the bulbs appear to be "connected" to the plastic piece you turn to take them out that they sit in....

is everyone elses like this that have done the switch??
i thought i could just pop the bulbs out and stick different ones in...???

Is LED bulb dimmable??

I always thought they need constant voltage........

I've heard from a guy on the maxima forum that the LED's can leave uneven lighting and bright spots on the gauges, so I wont change them to anything else.

One thing I hate about some cars is the uneven lighting on the dash, in particular I've noticed this alot on pontiacs. It just looks cheap.
