That thing would be blast to pilot. I wonder how they got that kind of power out of it.

Apparently the car they tested was set up for Japanese tastes and this calls for tail-out antics apparently, and they have re-set the car for our more conservative Euro tastes

Someone correct me if i am wrong but their octane rating is on a different scale than ours. meaning that their 98 is still equal to our 92-93 octane

RON vs our MON/RON average, yes the same. Look at Andreas' #'s. 206 whp. I hate to get into the whp to bhp conversion arguement, but his motor is somewhat close to theirs. Let's be conservitive, 240 bhp /10% drivetrain loss (best drivetrain in world)=216whp. 10hp difference. Yes, I know Andreas' motor is a 2.2 liter but who's to argue theirs isn't as well. "Cylinder head and camshafts", my ass.

just so I know how much I have to save...how much is that in american $$$$$$$$$$$?
...It has to be an SR20VE...they said Primera engine right? So 240 hp rated isn't that far from what a VE puts out already(190 hp?)

its a SR20DE4 whatever the 4 means i dont know, but it aint no VE. the BHP figures of 190 and 240BHP are after their tweeking.

oh an to add, with the company who builds it being a UK company, and the reference to the Primera, the VE was never available here in the Primera so it will be the DE.

The 190bhp model *appears* to have individual throttle bodies (ITBs):

Which probably makes the car very zingy. :)

Funny how there are no pics of the 240bhp car's engine on the website.

yeah, i believe that they may be Jenvey units, from www.jenvey.co.uk The UK Primera Club has looked into a possible group buy for a kit whcih they claim can give about 40 or was it 60 BHP for around £1400, but i dont know if that includes ECU upgrades to cope. I dont think anyones gonna do it though, but would be nice. They also have supplied the BTCC with TB aswell, so they must know what theyre doing.

That'd be sweet to have the 4 TB intake manifold, is it a different one than the Pulsar GTi-R had? ...my bad about the VE confusion. So if it's rated at 190 or 240 hp, then there are a few people here in the states that have built comprable motors with 200 whp.

oh i know about US BHP figures, its just that there nothing that comes close over here in the UK, cos no one even tunes the SR20s, until now !!! hell, half of the garages dont even know what a Primera is ! But now, hopefully we may have a company to turn to about tuning and advice etc. The TB will be different to the GTiRs cos theyre mounted different on the DE and DET heads anyways

Kev you guys (UK) should pay attention to those numbers.

He says it doesn't feel like it has 240bhp,...insenuating that they are providing false claims?

Also not that it has no power steering, and has an 8500 RPM rev limit.
