SLUSH-BOX QUESTION!!! - What do you guys think? Is it worth it or not?

I've heard about the reason why some say they won't go off. Basically everyones complaint = with an auto you keep your foot down between gear changes and the throttle remains open, so there is nothing to blow off.

My question is, is it possible to gain noise from them. Yes I know about the main purposes and such for the bov, but my question is directly refered to sound.

Can you make a bov go off w/ auto tranny?

I've heard good things about the TurboXS type H in auto trannies... what do you guys think? feedback appreciated

When you let go of the gas to stop the throttle plate still closes correct? If that throttle plate closed while under boost you will get compressor surge ( the rapid fluctuation of turbine speed caused by throttle's being closed under boost).. So I would say yes you need a BOV or bypass valve inline to eliviate this potential problem.

from what jgycustoms.com told me that it works just like 5spd
same principal
since it shifts gears

The only function of the BOV/BYPASS VALVE is to relive the system of pressurised air when the throttle plate is closed under boost. Now on the a auto tranny you have the pedal down in goes through the gears no blow off but when you let go of the gas pedal the throttle plate shuts and air is recirculated or blows off in to the atmospher. In a 5 speed the trottle plate closed under every gear change so it blows off or recerculates more often. I hope this helps.

hahahahaaa... no

a true car fanatic would have respect for the at's, after all its been said that you can take 2 of the same vehicle's, 1 with a mt tranny and 1 with at tranny, do whatever you like, but you must do it to both, the at will still take out the mt... most of the people today don't even know how to take advantage of their mt tranny anyway...

where my auto peepz at?

My DET came with a BOV and an awd automatic gear box, so I guess you need work even on an automatic.

my 69 mustang is an auto and itll tear a new A hole in 90% of the sport compacts hehehe you gotta and a little v8 power right :). Any way about the AT comment its true many people suck at driving MT but the people who know how can utilize them great. There is a point in modification where AT become more of an advantage but with sport compacts and bolt ons with a person who knows how to drive a MT will take a AT. (but its a diffrent story when your running like umm... 10's)
