because you haven't gotten your car into timing mode.

go through the procedures posted on se-r.net one of your problems may be not unplugging the tps, but you knew that already right?

Same thing happend w/ my NX. Try revving it up to 3-4k about 3-4 times. This is supposed to 'lock' the timing. and of course w/ the TPS unplugged. Thats what finally fixed it for me.
