I have a Nissan NX-R (Australian nx2000 equiv). The problem I have is a distinct vibration when backing off the revs. Seems to be stemming from the drive shafts, but they are brand new, and I've had them re-checked, and no it's not the wheels/rims. All bearings look OK. Any ideas at all??
I would guess motor mounts. Check them for wear/damage.

the crossmember has these rubber bushings that go between the member and frame of car. right where you bolt the cross member 4 spots. this was the problem in my car. put new ones and grease em about 28 dollars from courtesy nissan. if you have high performance motor mounts or inserts you will get some vibration too. try the bushings! the mechanic probably didn't put em back when he did the front end.

I concur. Worn or torn motor mounts is the likely cause.
