ok i was driving down the road and punched it in first....it went great all the was until like 6500 then it just bogged out and shut off.....i set the timing a lil while before but it ran great the whole day.....now i got it home and i reset the whole timing and checked eveything and it had good compression but it just cranks and cranks over...it also backfires and makes some weird noises...did i bend the valves? or what could be the problem?

If it haas good compression, it's not the valves. Check easy things like fuses, plugs, battery terminals, ECU codes.
