On my 91 Classic SE-R when it is very cold out at night only half of the speedometer lights up and then comes on about ten minutes later. I've changed the bulbs but it still does this. Also the darn seatbelt light stays on unless I put the passenger front seatbelt in. Strange thing is that if I take the driver side seatbelt off or on it has no effect on the light. It doesnt' always do this but about 85% of the time I start my car. The wiring under the seats is not switched. Help me out guys.

1. check the bulbs make sure that are not loose in the socket.
2. the light goes off about 3-5 min *be pacient*
3. check to make sure the wires aren't cut on the drivers seat.

if you want to get rid of the light when the driver's side seatbelt is on, then just disconnect the seatbelt sensor under the passenger seat. i'm not sure if the sensor is there for any other safety purpose ***.

for the instrument cluster...check the dimmer switch with another one to be sure its not causing a short...they tend to be problematic
