Is this any better than having the stock airbox?

yeah, might be worth 1 or 2 horsepower, for that price id say go for it

if you wanted to you could use that as the adapter if you ever wanted to do a custom cold air intake. i had one of those adn i got it for like 15 bucks with a filter, i think its the same as just opening the airbox and taking the bottom piece off. so if you want to use the maf adapter and make a cai it would be cool, or if you just want to get a k&n open airfilter thing going on that would be cool too . it would look better than a stock air box . so its up to you .

The stock airhorn looks better designed than that. Which makes me think an open airbox might be better...
