Last night it was well below zero and my NX key snapped the tip off. Luckily it didnt get stuck in the door though. I went to get the spare that the dealership i bought the car gave me and it wasn't for the NX.:( . It there a code of the shape of the key to give the dealer for that ignition. I might be able to get a locksmith to manually copy it, but i wont find out tomarrow. I know of some newer vehicle that have that, but what about the older ones.

similar thing happened to me, but it wasn't in the door, it was in the t top locks. dealer told me i needed the VIN and they most likely couldn't help me anyways ***** they only kept the records of keys within the last 6 years. but i dun see why a normal key cut place can't cut u a copy.

Thats what i wanted to hear. I will call up the dealers tomarrow. The key i was using now sucked anyways and most of the time wouldnt unlock the hatch.
