i know you have all heard the stuff before, i did a search, read it all, but ive got the garace, the tools, and the people that have done awd conversions to fwd cars. It HAS to be possible, i know it will probably cost 10,000.00 but it has to be possible with a gti-r tranny, all im looking to do is 275 hp awd sr20de-t b13.

Who's telling you it can't be done. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It CAN be done. But can YOU do it? That's the question. If you're asking why it can't be done, then you haven't done enough research to know the answer.

Anything can be done with enough tools, skill and money. A friend of mine built a few V8 351 Pinto's while he was still in High School, a 4WD Eldorado on a Blazer chassis (with a snow plow), and later put that 351 into a first Gen Rx7.

v8s are the quickest fix for the rotories tend to explode.

again it can be said....speed cost money, how fast do you want to go

Of course it can be done. But if you're asking how, you probably can't. You'll probably spend $10-20k for a car that will be worth at the very best $5-10k.

you are looking at basicly retro fitting at best, more like pure fabbing up of a rear end for the car. the sentra doesnt really have the room for the drive train back there or even the drive shaft down the middle. probaly have to do something like a tubed rear end to make it atleast somewhat feasable. Its just not worth the money. you can buy a race only gti-r easier. or even spend that money on a used gt-r if you are dead set on a awd nissan. id rather put my money elsewhere, or not in nissan

it would be cheaper to just but a gtir and find a way yo put a NX body on it bcuz i belive the NX is slightly shorter than the sentra as is the gtir hatch. This would still be extemetly hard or near imposible for you to do, but it would probably be just the same as cutting up the undercarriage of the sentra.

the easiest thing would be a complete BB swap into an altima, as these are the same cars. if you want an AWD SR20 powered car, buy a 93 altima, and figure it out from there, should be a lot easier. not too many BB's came in a 5 spd though.

actualy its not much easier there. its not an easy swap into an alty. fewer people have done that than done VE swaps into sentra's. and you still run into the same problem with drive train fitting in.

how about the gti-r sheetmetal. anyone actually ever order the hood, fenders, lights, bumper all at once and try to fit it?WOULD the GTi-R (N14)sheetmetal fit on 91-94 (B13) sentra??

After compairing pics and stats, the GTi-R and sentra are very similiar under the hood. . .

I believe George Roffe at one time had *all* the drivetrain pieces necessary and determined it would be financial not feasible. Of course Im putting words into his mouth.

I think I've said it before, I feel the easiest way to do this swap would be to by a complete GTi-R. The can be had "fairly" easy, that would show you how big the tunnel needs to be, how the suspension mounts etc. ANYTHING can be done, all that matters is the know how, the drive to complete it, and the all mighty dollar. Good Luck.

I rather do doughnuts in a SE-R. Make mine RWD. Hey, that would make it a 240SX huh?

shit, AWD donuts are cooler, you dont really move, you just stay in one spot and rotate, shit....:D
