1. What do I need to swap a VE head onto an SR20DE besides the head itself?

2. What about the ECU? How is it controlled? Does JWT cut a chip for it?

3. Finding the head: what do they cost, how available are they?

4. Anyone have part numbers? I've got a guy (friend of a friend) who says he can get them if I can get him a part number.

5. Has anyone actually done it? VE heads -> DE block?

The VE head likely won't fit on an older DE block without some machine work to the block. If you can get the block from a '00+ Sentra or G20, it should fit just fine.
Yes. It's a lot easier to get a whole engine...nobody want's just a head or just a block, so figure on an importer (any of the usual suspects can get a VE) just sending you a complete engine. Um, just cams, not heads. Use the search function and check the FAQ for cam data, though. A friend like yours would be good to have Nope. Nobody's ever needed to yet.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. My DE is the stock motor in my 93 SE-R, so it sounds pretty unlikely.

The guy that says he can get the parts works for nissan, he's an engineer. spends most of his time test driving silvia's, skylines, etc. he just showed me some pics of them dyno'ing an s15 the other day. lucky bastard :D
