i've heard a lot of guys mention having 15"-17" rims. are there any necessary modifications or precautions that need to be taken. will any 4X100 work? any style recommendations?

Offset is very important, if you don't want to rub the fender or the strut.
You can actually fit a fairly wide tire in, if your calculations are good.
I run 215-45-15 tires on 15X7 rims with a +35 offset.

What's an offset?

I have 205-40-17 on my NX and they just fit in with my 2" drop i had to get my fenders rolled up a bit in the in side just to stop them rubing when i did turns plus i only have about 5 mm of space between my tire and shock housing vary close, i dont remember what i have for an off set, but it looks good http://laf.cioe.com/~benbobbo/NonCGI/smile.gif
