i have a b15 SE 5spd and want to pick up a w10 DET. id just like to know the modifications needed to swap over the sr20det to my SE before i confirm buying a motor. is it a good idea to just swap over ALL the wiring? if not, how do i go about with the wiring? also should i go with the u13 for the easier swap? heres what i dug up so far on what to do:

modify oil pan for crossmember

not sure:
swap in b15 water pump
cut bumper (FMIC)
cut block 1in where the tranny bolts up to

ive searched all over the net, b15, sr20 boards, everywhere. couldnt find the exact info i needed though. :confused: thank you in advanced for the replies :)

You need to cut the oil pan as you would with any DET install in a FWD car. You will also need to either

1. swap the entire DET harness in.. and use the DET ECU.
or
2. swap in a B14 harness and B14 JWT DE ECU.

The rest of the install is straight forward and you should have no mechanical issues.

thanks trav, what about cutting the block to use the SE tranny? is that necessary?
