If I don't get the heatsheilds I want to spray the manifold so It looks better than rusty,is 1500 degree paint good enough to stay on without burnin off???Also I want to spray the piping and intercooler end tanks so that looks better can I use regular spray paint on the piping???My engine bay has to look good to me,I'm sorry.

i spray painted my intercooler pipes and they work fine but i scratched them up putting them in there so just took like a paintbrush and took them up but my manifold i painted just burnt right off i didn't cure the paint cause i don't have an oven if you do that you may be o.k. later

I have used the 1500+ degree paint on my headers...it didnt actually burn up rust just started to sneak through but it lasted quite some time....other than that with a few good thick coats of that it should look better than just pure rust.....Maybe even try that barbeque grill black paint ....I used that on my calipers and it worked great...maybe itll work ok on your manifold....

What do you guys use to paint your heatshields? I got the dremel out this weekend and cleaned all the rust off the shield from my GTi-R manifold. Now I'm wondering what to do with it.

For a heat shield I would use barbeque black ...that stuff is pretty good...decent finish too..

I hope you still want to buy my heatshield!

use VHT NU-CAST Manifold paint. I painted my bb mani, turbine hous, and full exhaust. I looks great and lasts. i recoated every spring though. It has a grayish bronze appearance just like a brand new manifold.
