loud knock coming from left tire during routine turns. has gotten louder,more freguent. seems serious. any clues?

check and see if the whole tire vibrates when turning

Check your splash guards. Mine are falling to pieces and when I turn right the left the right one catches on the wheel and thumps a bit. Really anoying going to go out and rip it off sometime. If its more of a click or a higher knock could be a cv joint, check your boots. Could be loose lugnuts. Check them, i forgot to tighten my rear ones after i bled my brakes and every time i turned right it thumped. Got home and they were about off!!!!

when i turn tight, its more of a snap, broad turns have more knock. i noticed today that it only happen while i'm accelerating. no noise if i coast through turns.

If it's only knocking under power, I believe that means it's the inner CV joint.
