Hey guys,

I'm trying to work w/ Keepsake on offering replacement skins (just the skin) for the armrest that was available for the Classic. This is the same gentleman that offered the group buy on the shift boots a couple months ago. His website is: http://boots.hypermart.net . The armrest I'm speaking of is this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6775&item=2400449929&rd=1 . Could I get a rough idea on how many of you guys would be interested in one of these to match those new shift boots? :) I don't want him to go about setting up the template, if no one is interested.

If eveything goes well, he would expect these to be available about the middle of February.

Thanks,

Josh

To be honest, I would be surprised if many people have them at all. I personally have two, one chracoal and one grey one, but I bought them more than five years ago and even then I had to call all over the U.S. to find them! The Nissan dist. center in Texas had a few back then but most were rusty from setting in the warehouse! After sending three back, I finally found one that was in new condition. By now the armrest went the way of the floormats, in the extinction category. :( Then again, there may be enough people out there that have them to create a group buy, who knows?

I knew they were pretty rare, but I expected a couple of the Classic owner's here might have found one, one way or another.

These armrests aren't from the NX. These were available for the Sentra; to install it, you took out the rear ashtray, and it basically just bolted right there.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I'm new to B13's. What is the importance of the armrest? Does it just bolt to where the rear ash tray was and then rest above your e-break? Just asking.
I really like those shift boots. Good prices too.

You are correct. The armrest just sits above the e-brake. It isn't really important, I didn't know if anyone was interested in a new cover. I guess no one is really interested. Not a big deal.

When i bought my car in 99 it had one in it already, don't know where it came from though. I had offers from people to purchase it off of me, don't think i could live without it!:D

I found one in a junk yard and sent it to Jim Fancher a few years ago. As for them sitting and rusting, trust me someone would buy it, sand it down, paint it and use it. I would. That is a rare piece I tell ya!

That isn't the armrest I was speaking of. That is the NX console. The SE-R had a seperate armrest available as an option. Check my first post for a link to the SE-R armrest. I actually have a NX console w/ a G20 lid/armrest.
