17.5lbs. for an 18in wheel is pretty good!
(add some bling to the 200)
before i get flamed, I'll be using slicks at the track, and I'm thinkin about powdercoating the stock SER wheels black and putting 205-50-15 Azenis on them to ride around on when i need a little extra go

so will an 18x7.5in wheel work with a 42 offset?

I'm not a wheel offset expert, but it should work.I would be worried about it rubing against your spring perch. I remember when SCC did their SER, they used a 18" wheel with a 40mm offset. What type of suspension are you using?

I like those wheels too. Do you know how much the 17's weigh?
I don't know even know why I'm asking since, I plan on getting the Kosei Racers? 17"=15lbs. That's TE-37 territory for 1/4 the price.:D

I'll be using AGX/Sportline, for now.

the 17's weigh 16LBS.

would i have to run 215/35/18 or is 225/40/18 a possibility?

Due to the offset, it would probably be wiser for you to run a 225/35/18 tire.

I have 18x7.5 Rota Subzeros and they fit just fine. I believe the offset is 45. I have Motivational coilovers and the wheels just clear the front ones.

I'm thinking the reason why you don't have any problems is because you have coilovers. You don't have a spring perch, so you're able to runner a more positive offset without having it rub.

That is the reason I mentioned I had coilovers. He never told us what type of suspension he was running, so I told him what I was running. This way he could compare it to what he has. I never said if it works for me, it'll work for you.

I previously ran 18 x 7.5 Racing Hart C5 with 45mm offset and Sportline springs. I had Yokohama Parada 215/35-18. Mine cleared the perch just barely. I never had any problems for 3 years. I just recently sold the wheels to held pay for my turbo expenses.

so i wonder if a 42mm offset will work?

Matt4Nissan said that they would fit, but now I'm in a dilema on what size. I want 18's b/c they look sooo good. but i want 16's b/c of less rotating mass, plus cheaper tires. opinions welcome.

Tires for 18's aren't too pricey. Just check for great online buys. I got my Yoko Parada Spec2 215/35's from Tire Rack for $600 shipped. Just to let you know, this was shipping to Hawaii. Just check http://www.tirerack.com. They have all kinds of specials.

18's felt like they slowed me down alot, but my car is N/A and just about anything will slow it down.

I'll probably pick up a set of 17" Volk Gram Lights in the summer. The 18" I had needed to go back ever year for repair because of how bad the roads are here. They looked great but very high maintenace.

I would recommend the 215/35's for the 18's.

And yes, 225/45's will fit on 16's. It worked on my car with no driveability problems. Even though I have 205's now on my 16's because of the price at the time I last bought my tires, I liked the way 215/45's looked on my car.

I agree with wicked get the 215/35's for the 18's. Thats what I got and im not rubbin. And the size of your rims and offset rims are fine.
