can some 1 in the 909 help me out with advancing the timing on my 91 se-r. i tryed but i cant figure it out. i dont wanna screw ne thing up.

Turn your can on and let it warm up. Then turn the car off. Then unplug the TPS sensor (located on the back side of the throttle body). Next, restart the car and rev the engine up to 3000 rpms three times. Attach the timing light to the #1 plug wire aand the baattery. Loosen the two distributer bolts (12mm) just enough so you can slowlt turn the distributer. There should be 6 marks on the crank pully that go from -5 (closest to the firewall)to 20 (closest to front of car) degrees. I would not recomend going past 17 degrees, and then only using the highest available octane pump gas available to you (alteast 91). Once you hacve the timing at the desired point tighten down the distributer and double check to see if the timing is still at the desired setting. Turn the car off and plug the TPS sensor back in. Easy as that.
