Ok, I'm sure that someone has done this. I want to mount an EQ in the cubby hole right above the cup holder, The EQ is the same size as a regular DIN deck, will it fit in there and do I have any room for mounting brackets there, to be honest I haven't taken the dash apart yet to look, if anyone has any pictures of stereo mounted in this spot, please post them, so I can get some ideas....thanks.....

Post on an E-mail list i made recently:
The radio relocate is a snap...
Nissan made the SE-R (classic I don't know about 200SXen or not) with an optional CD player. The CD player was mounted where the pocket is. Find one in a junkyard or go to nissan and get the brackets to mount it. I got lucky, My GF's NX had this. I found a spare pocket and put it in there and then used her brackets after we got her a new radio with built in CD player.
The Brackets are a direct bolt up to any aftermarket radio and it fits like it was made to go there. The wiring needs to have a couple Zip ties cut to move the harness from above to below, but it will go easy enough.
This should apply to your EQ as well.
They use the same mounting as a standard single DIN head unit.

I was lucky to, my SE-R had the optional Sony single slot CD player, oh and it played like asssss. But works out cause I have to move my radio down to mount gauges in the stock location.
