IwannabeKojima 02-04-2003, 01:28 AM My check engine lights comes on speradically, I checked the ecu for codes and came back ok..Only seems to do it under throttle seems like surging hesitation when check engine light is on..The light does not come on all the time some days it comes on speradically under acceleration, and other days there is no problem or check engine light,...It is really weird semms like something electrical..or 02 sensor.Let me know what you guys think.. IwannabeKojima 02-06-2003, 11:11 PM What do you mean code twelve..Its like when the CEL flashes it is no particular code it just flashes when accelerating, I ran self diagnostic mode on the ecu and nothing came up...And it dosn't do it everyday or even everyweek for that matter..But i can feel the powerloss when it happens so it can't be good..How do I adjust leaness and richness? Did you open up the MAF harness at the connector and replace the gound wire there, or did you just splice the ground wire? And are you SURE you turned the ECU diagnostics set screw fully counter (turned it to the left) clockwise? The car also smeels like it is running rich.. It probly is. How do I adjust leaness and richness? You don't. The ECU does that. You need to run a diagnostics again. Only this time, count the long and short flashes on the LED. The long and short flashes will give you your ECU error code. EXAMPLE: Three LONG flashes followed by two SHORT flashes would be error code 32 BTW, you should purchase either a FSM (Factory Service Manual) or a Chiltons (What I use) or a Haynes repair manuals. The proceedure for troubleshooting ECU error or MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) codes will be in those manuals. The MIL light wouldn't be present when I went to check but it would still show the code for the speradic light. Subculture 02-07-2003, 04:58 PM The code that flashes on the ecu is code 55 OK, that's NORMAL SYSTEM OPERATION (http://www.se-r.net/engine/ecu_codes.html). Now just make sure that your ECU set screw is in the fully counter clockwise posistion. Let us know if you're still getting a MIL.
