: SMC = PACESETTER at this site??

I was wondring if you people could help me out here, is it just me ore do the pictures for the SMC and the Pacesetter short shifters look excaltly the same. I think they are charging more for the SMC which is pacesetter, or maybe they dont' include the kit they are supposed to with the one they are calling Pacesetter.

dont quote me on this but I believe pacesetter got their design from SMC or maybe vice versa.

The pacesetter and the SMC are the same design. The difference is that the SMC comes with a knob and the Pacesetter does not.

thanx guys, I'm just gonna get a pacesetter from somewhere cheaper and get an es bushing, and use my old boot and knob :)

yeah I do agree, buy the pacesetter from Nopionline.com and get the ES bushing and you are set. That is what my brother is running as well. Pacesetter bought rights from SMC to reproduce thier shifter.

ah.. people are learning...

you might want to cut off maybe like 5 threads. since the actual shifter is a bit longer than the stock one.

I've never heard that the SMC's come with a knob... they didn't back when I bought mine 3 or 4 years ago. I would check on that to make sure before you buy it.
