Ok, us B15'ers have a small problem. We have a top feed fuel rail. SIGH. So, the only top feed injector that I have found is a MSD 50# injector.

My question is, would these MSD 50# injectors be ok to use with a JWT ECU @ 3 BAR and a T28 with GTiR manifold? Would that be too much injector?

Thanks

36lb top feed MSDs will work fine. Where are you at man? I haven't talked to you in a while. Why do you have me blocked on AIM?

Hey, if JWT can make a 72# injector idle, what makes you think a 50# can't? I'm with Travis, though; the 36# is externally very similar if not identical, and flows right at 367cc/m according to my [crude] calculations. I've also heard that it's pretty trivial to fit side-feed rails and injectors to a roller intake manifold. Thought you had a B14 manifold anyway?

Aren't 5.0 injectors top-feed and high-impedence? I just saw a set of 8 (eight) FRPP 30# (~315cc/m) injectors for $220 from Summit Racing. That'd be funny...MAF and injectors from the Blue Oval Boys. :)

Seems to me that Q45s also have top-feed injectors. Like, 444cc/m, high-impedence injectors. I smoke a lot of banana peels, though.

You have to be careful what injectors you go with though... The invalid time can be very different between injectors and can drastically affect idle characteristics. Also, different injectors atomize fuel differently.. I found this out the hard way.. trying to run the RC Engineering injectors in Josh's B15. It ran shitty at idle and rich as hell on top end. 36lb injectors should actually idle well.. and run great under boost (open loop) as the A/F will be fatter.. which is what you want. The Alpha will take care of the extra injector at closed loop.. as long as your o2 sensor is working. I found out from Clark that the newer ECU's have a MUCH better learning curve than the older ECU. They were running 50lb MSD's in the Spec V that they are building and the car ran in closed loop with no problems.

Now my only problem is engine management.

And where can you acquire these 36 pounders? I've heard many people talk of them, but I've never seen them.

When you go with larger injecors on a stock ECU it is allways best to lower the cc/min down to around the stock cc/min of the original injectors to help idle and closed loop drivabilty................the best of both world would be a double adjustable 1:1 FPR being able to adjust vacuum idle fuel pressure independently of no-vacuum idle fuel pressure.

Is this assuming I would be running the S-AFC? Or stock ECU with turbo?

What would you think about an FMU + S-AFC with a GTiR T28 and FMIC with these 36 lb injectors?

Any place that sells MSD injectors should be able to get 36-ers. Thought I saw them listed at Summit once.

FMU's are crap IMO

saw a friend lose a really fast turbo GSR to one.

I've pretty much decided on BB T-25, TMI, S-AFC, 36 lb top feeds, 2.5" DP....is 200 whp a good goal?

Yes it is. Fairly easily obtainable

I'm hoping the S-AFC will be tunable by me....but, alas, I will eventually go the JWT route....

Who's going to run your FMIC pipes? You can't fit a stock Bluebird-type TMIC on top of your engine...

You can, you just can't use the pipe that goes from the intercooler to the throttle body. Just have to custom make one.

It's still retarded. :p

Why did you block me on AIM Stephen? That's fucked up man... You can keep the 100.00 you owe me and I'll just keep the muffler.. I do need the B15 SR20DE intake manifold core back ASAP! I need it to make fuel rails with. You didn't have to go and ignore me over 100.00 man.... I thought our friendship was worth more than that.

I was waiting on the muffler....like I have been forever. After I got the muffler, I planned on giving you the money, no problem at all.

One of the reasons I came down was to specifically get that muffler. But you sold it, and said I could have the used muffler on the red 200SX. That was fine, but you still haven't shipped it, (like you claimed you did.)

I blocked you, and many other people on my buddy list b/c I'm tired of dealing with people. I just finished this nitrous deal, and I'm all caught up in school, work, etc. Don't think I JUST blocked you.

I will acknowledge, though, that I was supposed to have the original muffler installed when I was first in LA. But, I had to leave early, and it was raining like a BITCH the last day. So, I forgave you for not shipping the muffler, even though I would've paid for shipping.

Now, there was no excuse for not having my muffler ready when I was down last month. Even though you sold the other one without asking me, you should have at least had something tangible that I could've taken home. And you know...I actually DID have the money with me when I was down last month, but I decided to keep it until you sent me the muffler, b/c if I didn't keep the money, I'd never see that muffler.

I've been so forgiving, and I'm still not mad....I just want what I paid for....but no hard feelings. I understand you have a lot to do....and it's not killing me to have the stock muffler on my car, it's really not.

Travis, I would've paid you 100 bucks just to be your friend.

And there are a lot more things that I could complain about, as well. But, I'm so forgiving, and consider you one of my best friends, that I keep my mouth shut.

Damn man.... that's cold. You told me that you weren't going to use the muffler a long time ago because you decided to go turbo. I'm sorry.. What more can you complain about? That I let you come and stay in my home when you came down here both times? That I went out in raining 30* weather when I was sick with the flu to work on your car? That I busted ass and built you a 12 second car in 3 days for the equivilant of 200.00? I'm so sorry that there was a mix up on your muffler man... but come on.. that's a lame excuse to treat me this way. What more can you complain about man? Don't make me out to be an ass... I bent over backwards to help you man.
