I was talking with someone and they said that when buying a BB sr20det you should replace the main and rod bearings in the motor before puting the motor in because they are known to spin bearings. I was just wondering if someone could tell me where I can get the best price for nissan bearings.

If you need Nissan Part # 12207-60J02 (crank bearings), then you can get the best price from me. I have a set, four boxes with two in each, that are brand new and never been opened. If you need these, PM me.
These bearings are for a very specific need i.e. you must determine what Grade you need first. The bearings that I have are Grade 2.

You should only have to replace the rod bearing...............but if you want to go the extra mile you can replace the main bearing but I say don't fuck with the main bearings unless you got to........chances are if you half to replace main bearings......thats another story and don't plan on using plastigauge for main bearing measurements (very very tight clearances). Take your chances and only replace the rod bearings are go all out and rebuild the whole engine while your at it.
I don't know of very many people that replace the main bearings during a swap.....just rod bearings.

My main bearings looked like shit, but spec'd ok. My rod bearings looked worn, but o.k. I replaced all of them while I had the motor on the stands. Gotta love removing the crank and all that goes with it.

Well I wont have the money to get like low compression pistons and like eagle or crower rods because so I was just gonna replace both sets. So you guys are sayen just drop the oil pan and replace the rod bearings? And when doing that do I have to plastic gauge the rod bearings for measurements or is there just one bearing size?
