I am planning on doing swap into 1989-1991 Nissan 240, I have not found car yet, but am hoping to use the coupe body. Can anyone tell me just which ones have the lsd?
I will be installing, all bolt ons, or soon after the project rolls. I work for a car dealership, So I am set with hoists, and shop use. Actuallty we are moving to a new building, So I will have 10 bay shop to use. haha.

I would like to know maximum achievable hp on stock internals?

Once I do serious engine work, and run a large turbo. If isong nos aswell. How many hp should I be able to make reasonably reliably. haha. I like that word.

Aswell as any tips or ideas you guys might have.

In sport compact car magazine there was a 1994 240 with 438 whp and 391 lbs of torque at 6100rpm and on I think like 22 psi. I have the magazine at home it is truly a phat ride with the ka24de hooked up.

Thanx guys,
Regards to the get car first post... There is nothing wrong with me jumping the gun on a car, and finding out I can't get it to where I want it to be at. I am new to nissan performance, so naturally I have some questions.
Thankfully we have no smog tests here, I could even run without cats, and muffler... If I wanted to.
I am liking the idea of my planned swap though. I must get it going by spring for the races.
Owen,

I am planning on buying a 300zx tt maf. What must I do to wire it up?

Walrus FTW!!!

I belive Chris- aka Shaggy, ran 454WHP on his GTi-R engine, I belive internally stock. I belive he had headwork done and JWT cams, with mad turbo power. That car was in SCC its a black 200 with SR20development.com sticker on the windshield.

Nope his motor was built when he put down that power.

he had some forged pistons and con rods. stock head, S3 cams (for the mech lifter 54C block) and a T3 flanged GTiR manifold.

and it was 497whp, FYI.

Here is the question?

How much HP on stock internals-
Bluebird stock internals:
GTI-R Stock Internals:
USDM SR20 stock internals:

Can anyone answer those questions?

they are all limited by the same cast pistons. as long as you keep them detonation free, you should be able to attain 450whp on all these blocks, though the head gaskets starts to burst above 20 psi.

how about the jdm sr20de??

same cast pistons. most JDM SR20s are 9.5:1 BTW. the 10:1 motor is a VERY VERY VERY rare motor.

ALL SR20s are limited to about the same power. you will have a harder time keeping the higher comrpession ones away from detonation, but it shouldnt be impossible.

What about once pistons and rods are upgraded? What kind of numbers are people seeing?

Any have an answer to my maf wiring question?
