I have a 97 Primera TE-V with a bad oil leak, its comming from the back of the engine, today I cleaned the engine with de greaser and hosed off, once it was dry I put the car up on stands and got below with a lamp and checked all the oil was gone, then I ran the engine until hot, then checked below for signs of the leak.
The oil seems to be comming from around the bolts that hold the mounting (steel casting) for the power steer pump to the engine block. Do these bolts go into an oilway?

I'm just guessing since its a VE, but check the Oil pressure sender

I took a look at that but it sticks out the side of the oil filter mount, which seems to be away from the source of the leak, I took a picture from under the car which shows the oil but I dont know how to post it here

something you might want to check; i noticed my oil was leaking but i couldn't figure out where it was leaking from, i checked everywhere and the last thing i did was check the oil filter, that sucker was way loose! I would have never guessed that because that is usually not what you check when the oil drips from the bottom.:D

timing chain tensioner? i don't see how someone can "develop" a leak from there, but worth checking nonetheless.
