Ok guys I have a problem. I just had my mechanic install a new clutch in my car today. Anyway when I went to pick it up he told me I needed a new clutch cable. The clutch is engaging right off of the floor. Which makes it almost impossible to move the car. I need my car by tomorrow morning. What should I do? Is my problem the cable? Which cable do you recommend? How much does it cost? Is it possible to drive the car at least until next week and have a new cable put in? Or should I not drive and get the cable fixed a soon as possible?

Reverse the lock nut to the other side of the metal U bar. That gives you another 1/4 inch of adjustment. Then order a new cable or slot/elongate the holes in the bracket that holds the cable to get you more adjustment..

Actually I still haven't gotten the clutch. I had to buy a new one from Clutch Specialties, and have them ship it to me overnight. I don't know what happened to the clutch.
