Well i've been thinking of removing the rear seats in my car but i dont wanna have it look like ass. I enter the car in many car shows so keep that in mind. Has anyone removed thier rear seats and put carpet or someting???Let me see some pics. I was also thinking of add a rear STB too so lets see some pics of seats removed and what you did to cover it up..Thanks
Forum member bmoses removed his rear seat and placed a piece of plywood with 3 subs in it to cover that hole that goes into the trunk. It's functional and his closeout $15 subs sound great. :)

At one time I just used black material for covering speaker boxes. Didnt look that good(like aluminum), but its cheap. Its not like anyone is going to ride back there anyway.
Look into it....Josh

This is what it looks like with nothing back there. I took this when I was cleaning out the interior when I first bought the car...

My question is why are you stripping out the seats? Weight? Unless your Fig, anything your likley to put back there will weigh more than the seats. And most things will look like @$$, excepting the seats.
If the goal is light, you arn't going to get a slick look. Go full race repaint and wax the interion. No carpet, no insulation. I don't know.. re-upholster the back seats?
I really helps to take out the seat to look for squeaks and rattles. My back seat itself cannot be held down well and it rattles itself. With the weather my trunk has been getting stuck quite a bit so I find myself unlatching it from the inside and pushing out quite a bit. Those are my reasons for having my back seat out right now :)

Well the reason for removeing the back seats is really for people NOT being able to use them!! I dont like when peeps sit in the back and dont want the ability for peeps to sit back there. So i wanted to remove it and make it look nice. I was going to add leather seats in the front and a rear STB or some kind of rear brace to the rear to make it look nice. I've already hve every other brace on the car. I need some pics though..i kinda like the aluminum idea but i need PICS!!!!Thanks for the responses!!!

Yo I know you need pics. Look in the Last issue of TURBO magazine. I may scan it in for you. Kojima just used an aluminum sheet to cover it.

Install a roll bar. No one in their right mind would ride back there then...

hopefully russell will chime in. He has a B14 and his back seats are out and carpet is in its place. IF he chimes in with a pic you will just how nice it looks.
