I have some cross-drilled rotors and need new pads. I'm wondering if resurfacing rotors is "mandatory" when changing pads or what.... Thanks.

You dont have to resurface the rotors .The point of doing this is to true the rotor if it is warped.You will feel this on the foot pedal.If the pedal feels good ,no worries.Oh yeah and torque the lug nutz when you put the wheels back on. This what causes the rotor to warp in the first place.
