hey guys i need some help. my car randomly dies every now and again. basically the problem is that one day last week i was drving to a friends house and anytime i put the clutch in the car would just die. this only happened on the drive over. after that it stopped happening except i have a really bad idle,sometimes it will drop to around 5-600 rpm. ecu isnt throwing any codes but the other problem is that i seem to have a weird loss of power around 3500-3800 rpm during normal driving. dont know if this is part of the problem but i have been gettin really bad gas mileage lately too (used to be around 26mpg now down to about 21-22) i changed fuel filter and checked timing too???? so dont know what to do
any help is appreciated

i think this may make a diff but you guys let me know,i was looking under the hood and realized that this one little pipe is almost totally crushed (to describe its hooked into the right side of the header and goes towards the drivers side and connects into the intake manifold,possibly egr equip???? i dunno but apparently when the guy put in my header this pipe got almost compltely squished) dont know if this might be part of the problem
also i will try regrounding the maf and see if that helps things out

That is your EGR. I would either get another one or just plug up both holes and get rid of it, but that may be illegal in some states? That is your problem and good luck!

I don't think it's the ERG tube being crushed, it might be a vacuum leak though. Make sure all the hoses are connected that are supposed to be in the intake tube, as well as check the ground on the MAF.

all righty, i checked the ground on the maf and checked for vacuum leaks. nothin there and now my car is getting as low as 16 mpg. dont know what to do. possibly the 02 sensor? im not geting a check engine light and no codes on ecu?
dont know what else to do?????
anyone else know if the egr being messed up could be causing this (i need the emission stuff here in az)
