In a recent post, I saw mention of a 424whp 409tq on 92 pump!, from a stock gti-r motor.
This may be one of highest torque I've seen... pretty impressive
Most of the "big turbo" 400whp dyno runs I've noticed, have considerably lower torque output. In fact, many small t25 / t28 / t3 hybrids will match the ~340wtq - makes a quick spooling street beast
on the 409wtq car;
any specs on the "small t3/4" used ?
can the torque be attributed to the individual throttle bodies ?
any quarter mile times ?
thanks

I think you can attribute some of that healthy power to the fact that he has a Tec 2. Jimmy mentioned that tuning the timing was a big factor in having the turbo spool as fast as it did and overall power. That power figure should go up once he gets back from Greece... and put the car on the dyno to test his new manifold/turbo and partial head work.

yeah when i made those numbers is was a small to moderate t3t4. but the good numbers is from all the tuning. we played countless hours with timing, spark, air, fuel, turbo and countless scenerios. as far as times goes...i have kept up with low to mid 10 sec surpas and camaros from a dead stop winning/losing by a bumper or less. the car with that set up was just sick. it would pull so hard from 3rd to 5th it was mind blowing. the car was so efficent and basic. i never played with race fuel or water injection or any of that. just basic pump gas and what nissan built from the factory with alot of tune time. plug in the lap top and change files on the stand alone and it was dr. jeckl to mr. hyde on growth hormone eating a ton of anadrol. it was a definate money maker with that set up. but that has come and gone and replaced with some more/bigger goodies. i'll post when i get home from my wedding vacation once i drive it again.

That's incredible numbers on pump gas! Just goes to show you what good tuning can produce. Danny ran mid 12's with a T28 in his 240sx.. all he had was larger injectors, FMIC and a TEC II. This was at around 15-16psi on the T28. The Electromotive units seem like a realy good deal!

...and you're going for more power ? in a fwd ? man, u got nerve
Yeah, "tunable" systems are the only way to fly imo. unbeatable
I'm curious about the specs on that "old" t3/4 setup... got a 2.0L rwd toyota gts hatch that I'm turbo shoppin' for. post 'em if u can
Over 400 ft'lbs from a 2.0L, on pump is not common at all. Could only imagine what kinda monster that musta been. I've seen SRs over 400whp on standalone, but the torque was way less, so I was wondering if the gti-r motor made the difference
Did the motor hold up ?
quite a few sr powered S13s hit mid 12s with small t hybrid + safc. I figure these lightweight sentras should be able to do that on a t25, no? - with traction + good driving

What kind of standalone are you using? I haven't seen much discussion about these. Mainly just JWT ecu's.

Hey Jimmy did you do the install of the TEC-II? If not who in MD does?
I know EIP does it but I remember you telling me to stay FAR FAR away from them.

If jbanach77 could tune my 200 with a Tec II, I'd forget JWT too :)

there is a place in waldorf, md by the name of tempest racing. they do all import drag cars. they do tuen various systems with tech being among them. i don't have the number on my right now but i will post it later. actually before i knew how shady eip was i had them do my tech II install. but word to the wise i would stay far away from them as possible. i am still undoing the problems they caused.

I concur with coolblackser....how's your tranny?
I'm seriously worried about third gear when I get mine running.
