My dad has this A/F meter...it appears to be 4 band. Please goto link. He is considering selling it to me. I am curious as to how accurate this will be. Obviously more than the light show autometer one. I have also heard that unless its a TRUE wideband, it won't help much. Opinions? Should I buy it from him?

That A/F ratio meter probly isn't accurate enough to do any real tuning.
Most Dyno shops, at least all the really good ones that I know of, use a Horiba A/F ratio meter with a wide band O2 sensor.

Fuck A/F ratio gauges, you need to consern yourself with o2 sensor voltage if you gonna tune things yourself. I wouldn't pay $1.00 for that thing, your better off with a digital multimeter or a Apex Turbo Timer.

Thanks for the information.

Your o2 voltages are only as accurate as the sensor that sends them. Most factory sensors have discrepencies in their readings... meaning you could take two sensors from Nissan... and one might read .95 volts... and the other.. under the same conditions.. might read .3-.4 volts off from the other. It will get you close.. but not dead on. I would rather tune with EGT's on a chassis dyno. To answer your question... I would shy away from tuning with that.
