Can't wait to see how this thing fits in the Spec V... Dave has got some "other plans" as far as the drivetrain configuration.. All I can say is that it involves AWD and the B15 chassis. :)

my guess is blue bird stuff. i think the wheel base is more similar than the GTi-R. The only problems i foresee is the exhaust/driveshaft sharing a tunnel, the rear suspension/subframe/diff bolting up and running the exhaust over the axles or under the diff. Either way clearance is going to be very tight.
1 question...will it look stock or is it going to have a massive tranny/driveshaft tunnel replacing the center console and the trunk reworked for the rear diff n shit?
if you cant answer it i fully understand

The B15 has a pretty large tunnel.. The gas tank will have to be removed and an alluminum fuel cell constructed. The rear suspension is still up in the air.. Not sure on which we're going use.

alot of luck goes out to you man. Hopefully Nissan will get into the AWD sedan war aswell. Can we say the Xtrail VET in the B15 with the BB or GTi-R AWS components?
280crank hp with AWD stock. Scoobie who?

I'm going to be working with Polk Performance on this job. I need more experienced chassis people to help out on this one!

man Travis, you keep finding ways to leave us with our mouths hung open in awh. your 404hp B15, then all the great work you did on the 200sx, etc now this AWD B15. all i gotta say is great job, and keep it up. i also fathomed about doing a RWD conversion to my B14 sentra, but when i really sat down to think of all the hassel, i changed my mind. now i just have a full silvia (LSD) rear sub-frame, a fuel cell, and some extra parts lying around.
well anyways, great good, and i'd love to see the finish product!!!

Yes we are working with Travis on this project. We have several ideas up in the air, but nothing set yet until we get the car to start doing the real R&D. I do have one question. Does anyone know the Front Axle Ratio of a GTIR trans. I am thinking about using a different 3rd member and custom axles. I need to match the gear ratio though.
Thanks.

i know the ratio on the Nismo Diff's but not the stock ones. Also the GTi-Rs have a rear LSD, center LSD and open front diff. The Nismo LSD/ring& pinion sets are a numericly higher gear ratio.
Nismo Front Diff
Part Number 38420-rs5f50a,
Price - 135.000,- Yen,
Ratio - 4.125, it's a 1,5 way diff (with plates)
Nismo Rear Diff
Part Number - 38420-rs180
Price: 97.000,- Yen
Ratio 3.700
