I'll be getting a 75 shot NOS kit FRIDAY :) and I want an MSD to handle the Timing Retard. I would like a 2-step as well.

There are so many MSDs. Im lost on this one. :(

Any help is appreciated. Keep the silly comments to yourself slowpokes. ;)

IIRC The MSD digital 6 will do everything you need Jon.. I have a friend down south that owns a peformance shop. The shop is called JUNG Peformance.. The guy is incredible when it come to nitrous. He can install the Digital 6 of you. Let me know. Also like mentioned above GP is the bomb at nitrous. He will gladly help you out. Also hit up Andreas he is also a master of nitrous fine tuning!!! :D

You might run into problems with an MSD ignition. Mike K. had tried almost every MSD model and finally went to a Crane ignition box. HE has had no problems with the crane.
But then again there are plenty of people with the MSD ignitions, running the external coil with no problems.
Just some food for thought.

Here are some links

Figgy, old boy;

Get a MSD Digital 6, as mentioned. Install it (I have pics if you need them) on your Classic. Hook the ignition retard wire up to your nitrous switch, which you will attach to your throttle lever on top of the manifold.

When you hit the nitrous, the retard wire will see 12v and will retard the timing to whatever degree (adjustable in 10ths of a degree) you see fit. You'll also get a 2-step rev limiter out of it, which will need to be wired to another switched 12v source.

Hit me up and I'll help you. Andreas knows a ton about this stuff, too, and is much closer to Tampa than am I.

Greg, can you post those pics? I searched out your old thread but the pics don't show up anymore. I just bought a digital 6.

Thanks.

Figgy....if you wanted to go a cheaper but more risky route. Just buy the seperate timing box. Keep it at 19 street, and dial it back when hitting. Granted you would have to REMEMBER To dial it back when hitting it. Digitial 6 does it for you. OF course Dig6 = 300+$, timing box = 150$....

You figure the option you want to go....
