Has anyone seen the phantom grip selling for any less than $269? If so where?

This might be a stupid question, but is there an extreme advantage to the Phantom Grip as opposed to the stock LSD? Thanks.

Yes there is a noticeable by far difference, the phantom grip works with the stock lsd. THey aren't however, better than the quaiffe and nismo units.

At what point (power wise) does the stock LSD really start lacking? $269 dosn't sound like a bad price at all for an LSD.

I think it's more the wear on the stock LSD that power level. There has been a noticable drop in the performance of my LSD as the car gets older. I'm thinking of getting the Phantom Grip to help my old tired LSD out. Wish I could find a Quaife...

For track purposes, the phantom seems to last longer where the stock lsd tends to give a little. I can't really explain it just have talked to guys that have the phantom grip. I would talk to Mike Kojima or some of the cup guys or nasa guys as they tend to test run those products.

well, i have one thats about to be installed as soon as i get my tranny shipped to JGY (its on a pallet, so should be soon) also, I'm running a tranny with about 20K on it, and i can tell it's fresh by wheelspin, (old tranny spun much worse, lsd worn out) so i should be able to give a good answer on the P.G. soon

Ebay, there is a guy that has been running them for $200 buy-it-now. $15 for shipping.

Anybody get a price from Courtesy for replacement clutch disks for the LSD? Could squeeze in an extra disk in the pack to tighten it up :D

Cheers,
Charlie :)

My LSD on my white Sentra was ready to give up. I could take corners and light up the inside wheel sometimes. That car really pissed me off.

The stock LSD is not a clutch style. Its a sealed, fluid type. You can't service it.

I've heard the problem with the stock diff. is that the properties of the fluid change over time. I'm not sure whether it becomes more or less viscous. Is this true, or was I listening to a monkey?
