I am going to wire my Infinity BassLink up in a few days. Does anybody have tips on running the ground/power/remote,RCA cables, the best place to get though the firewall, best ground in the trunk, difficult spots, panels i shouldnt needlessly take off, etc etc... I will be wiring it to the stock CD player for the time being (utilizing the connectors that came with the Basslink, but i am planning on running the RCA's to the front so i dont have to take things apart again when i get a new deck. If anyone has any tips, i would really appreciate it.

When I ran my 0 gauge through the firewall for my rf:1100a2 in the trunk, I put the hole in the firewall right above and to the right of where the pedal assembly is at. There is a raised surface when looking at it under the hood (sort of like a boss, but not quite so pronounced). For gounding the amp in the trunk, pull up your carpet around the trunk latch and pull one of the existing bolt/screws up, scratch the paint from around it, clean the area, attach your ground wire terminal, and replace the bolt/screw. I can't remember exactly what I used...

As for what panels to remove, the door sills are easily removed and you can run wires from under the sills to under the cushions on the back seat, into the trunk almost invisibly.

Just my thoughts, someone else might be able to give you more clarification; it has been a while since I have had my stereo in the car. :(

run your power&remote on the left side of the car and run ur rca's on the right side to prevent any gas sounds on ur subs..or which ever speakers it is ur hookin up..

try to make ur ground short no more then 20"(less if possible) to get better power and try using same gauge wire for power and ground..

You don't have to put a hole in the fire wall for power. Run your power line thru the hole in the fenderwell next to the battery. Pull the drivers front wheel and mud sheild. You'll see a think harness of wires. Run your power with those thru the firewall, down the side of the car thru the "channel", and into the trunk. I put my amp under the drivers seat.

I didn't know that... I would go for that over drilling through the f-wall anyday!
