I am unable to find out what type of drivetrain engine the Neo VVL engines are....
Can a SR20VE or SR16VE engine... fit into a S13 or S14 chassis?
Without ALOT of modification? or could I use the original transmission and axels?
SR20DET engines... are AWD engines....
except....
the S13, S14, S15 SR20DET engines....
I would assume the engine is an AWD engine...since it was in an X-Trail SUV......
but can the engine only be used in an FWD or AWD situation..... much like the BB or GTiR......
Anyone?

you can put the head on a s13 rwd block. run an external oil feed and run the DI system to make it fit. there is a link around here that shows the swap done. i can get you the phone number of a shop in japan that does the swap but you need to figure out communicating with them.

just curious if anyone has found that link or has been able to find out more info in this?
So basically I would have to use my my RWD Block from my KA24DE... and run the oil feed like you said.. but what about the DI system? What would I ahve to do with that?

Uhhh... no. You would have to find a RWD SR20DE from a S13.
By the time you've spent your money on the VE head and all the work, you could have done a DET and made more power...

you have a point...
well there are just so many different possibilities.. and I figured I either go for an S13 SR20DET or if i can gather the money, try an RB20DET, after reading some info on how to do the swap.
i just figured, maybe it was possible, and I guess anythign is possible. But with the money.
Basically are you saying it would be as difficult as making an Sentra into an AWD? ha...

Trust me you want a DET in that car. Unless you have 10K to spend on building the engine just get a RB or SR20DET

well.. once again my dreams have been smashed to teh ground.. ha
So basically.... the work involved and money put out, would not be worth it, and would no where near the power of an SR20DET or even RB20DET for that manner...
Right now.. im looking at an RB26DETT... if only i can find a cheap clip somewhere

Well do you want me to lie to you, you asked for a our thoughts on this matter. S13's-15's beg to be powered by a DET. They have the chassis to handle the power of a turbo engine. Yes, a VE could provide similiar performance to a stock DET BUT the torque and hp curve of a det is better suited to the heavier S cars.

dont forget a custom intake manifold. the throttle body would be on the wrong end, unless you ran the air filter into the interior, shit.
