Hey guys

I just had a new jap exchange engine put in about a month ago and now I'm having a wierd rattle .. it was good untill just this last tank of gas.. in the area where the timing chain is when I slightly rev it or just take off from a light it rattles in there and once i'm above 3 grand on the tack it go's away.. any ideas????

Sounds like you need a new tensioner.

BTW, please refrain from using the word "Jap". JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) is just as accurate and is less offensive.

no that is not right. the price is about 25-30 bucks according to se-r.net. but i dotn know where they are getting that price from. www.nissanautosports.com (http://www.nissanautosports.com) wants 53 for it, but shipping will probly bump it to 60. maybe you should just go through the dealer? the part number is 13070-2J200. sorry bro i wish i could be of more assistance http://www.sr20deforum.com/NonCGI/frown.gif

may be the chain tensioner. check out www.se-r.net (http://www.se-r.net) for more info on changing it....and its a cheap part i believe.
