Hi,
Do anyone know what's the difference of a Pace Setter header for a classic, between powder coated and a non-coated???
does one give me more horsepower, durability, apareance?? I don't know.
Thanks
Pd. A person sell me one non-coated new $150 shipped, is this a good deal???

Pace Setter has the typical black coating that burns (smokes) off pretty much right after you start your car up for the first time after installation. Unless you spend the extra money to get what is kinda new on the market (not positive), which is like any other company's design of a typical silver or chrome coating.
$150 for the non-coated header shipped is a good deal, well that is a little less than what I paid about a year and a half ago. Just about 2 months ago I had a local place put high temperature coating on my Pace Setter header for $80, so in the long end I paid less then a coated Pace Setter off the market since I just saw it going for $300 in JC Whittney.
As for the horsepower, durability, and appearance there is some differences. Horsepower, probably not much more for the coated one, but it should have little bit more. Durability, nothing should be different. And for appearence, the non-coated will look like shit after the black burns off (it won't effect anything performance wise though). The coated one will obviously looks good all the time since it will always have it's color.
It's up to you, but I'm satisfied with what I have done.

I stand corrected, the coated one from Pace Setter is just about $400 though JC Whittney.

Man, that's getting in the ball park of what I gave for my HS Gen 5.
It's coated and IMHO is a much better piece as far as performance is concerened...
